First Date tells the story of Aaron and Casey as they embark on their blind date with one another.  As they begin to go through all the terrible ups and downs of a first date, the ensemble transforms into characters from their past (and potential future!) and allows Aaron and Casey to learn more about one another and themselves. Each ensemble actor, playing at least five characters each, transforms into each character effortlessly and unnoticeably through the use of layering, quick-changes, and creative reconstruction of thrifted and budget-conscious garments. Many of the same clothes are used, but are paired in different ways for each character in order to communicate the characters personality, allow for fast character changes, and keep within the production budget.
